The Peak District is without doubt one of the finest areas of England in which to go Mountain Biking. Choose from a number of rides which take you off road away from the crowds to some of the greatest down hills & single track around.
The Northern areas of the Dark Peak offer the most challenging routes & will take you through alpine woodland & exposed moorland to reveal outstanding scenery & fantastic descents. The White Peak is characterised by rolling fields & dales, hidden villages & fine country pubs but there are also a number of fantastic routes available to the discerning off-roader.

Introduction to Mountain Biking - B&B
This gentle tour takes in some of the White Peaks most spectacular scenery. Your 1st days ride is along quiet country lanes & flat, off road bridleways visiting a number of picturesque villages & hamlets allowing time to get a feel for the bike. Your 2nd day on the saddle takes your northwards via Youlgrave & Longdale where you will try a few more challenging off road tracks providing an excellent introduction to this exhilarating sport.
Introduction to Mountain Biking - YHA
This gentle tour takes in some of the White Peaks most spectacular scenery. This fantastic 2 day tour will take you along some of the best trails in both the White Peak & High Peak areas of the Peak District. Your base at Castleton or Edale lies at a geological point where underlying limestone meets gritstone rock creating a superb landscape of gorges, valleys & high moorland vistas. Each day is manageable for those who have done some mountain biking before and have a reasonable level of fitness. The route has been carefully planned so that you descend on the best trails & climb on the road sections. On each days route you will have a couple of great country pubs to choose from for lunch.
