Day
1:
Arrive at your B&B or country Inn at the historic
town of Hathersage. |
Day
2:
A stiff climb out of Hathersage takes you up to
the boulder strewn Higger Tor, Burbage Rocks &
onto the Iron Age fort at Carl Wark. A pleasant
walk through the Longshaw Estate takes you to the
start of a fantastic ridge walk along Froggatt &
Curber Edges with stunning views throughout. After
a descent to Curber you join the Derwent Heritage
Way which runs by the banks of the River Derwent.
You will pass a number of pretty villages, each
of which have cosy country pubs to hand. (15 Miles) |
Day
3:
This walk starts with a climb to North Lees Hall,
made famous by Charlotte Bronte in Jayne Eyre. You
will continue up to Stanage Edge to reveal fantastic
views over the valleys below. A fine ridge walk
takes you along this spectacular ridge, popular
with climbers and back down into Hathersage. (7
