Customer Testimonials

We are always pleased to get feedback from our customers. Here are a selection of comments we have received over the years:

Only one word to describe the tour, leaders and organisation...FABULOUS! Hamish and Niv were very thoughtful regarding the group's needs and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks to all - would book again with you and hope to in the future.

Very well organised and all of the information provided in advance. I had questions that were answered really quickly. This was my 3rd trip with Peak Tours.

Great tour, well organised. Our guides Niv and Hamish were first class.

Loved the days through the hills in Bavaria.

The route was excellent. Really enjoyed the scenery, especially Dartmoor, The lakes and Cairngorms. Lots of quiet country lanes, mostly traffic free. The size of the group was just right and enabled smaller groups to be formed, so people could ride at their own pace.

What a fantastic trip. I had been looking forward to it for months and it did not disappoint. It felt organised but also had its own distinct feel of being run by enthusiasts which gave it a lovely personal touch. Graham and Richard were fantastic guides, knew their bikes inside out and offered me plenty of encouragement when my knees were hurting.

The route was very well planned; away from busy traffic, took the scenic way where possible so we were able to take in the best that the UK could offer; Clifton suspension bridge, Lake District valleys and the Scottish Highlands were some highlights.

Accommodation was better than expected and indeed stayed in some hotels that were extremely nice. This blended well with the B&B's that offered a really friendly and personal service.

Best thing about the trip were the tea stops - what a welcome sight after 25 miles of pedalling with plenty of drink and food on offer! That was a really great idea and one of the highlights of the trip.

Overall, brilliant trip, thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to others

I really enjoyed the route! Brilliant – must have taken a lot of previous trips, knowledge and research – excellent! So glad we chose Peak Tours. A great combination of not being too big, corporate and impersonal but being big enough to be professional and know what you are doing. I would recommend without any hesitation and would consider Peak Tours again for future tours.

Fabulous route, very few main roads and amazing scenery.

Excellent route, especially in the Cairngorms. I would happily have done more per day to bring the final mileage to 1000, and include more ‘iconic’ climbs if they were close to the route. The few days post Devon were a bit easier, which was good considering the Lakes ahead; a good way to get our breath back. The brew stops were excellent – hot drinks twice daily with cake, fruit, nuts – I was in heaven! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Peak Tours to any cyclist of any ability.

The route was excellent. Staying off main roads was the main factor in choosing this tour. Cannot really see how it can be improved. You have thought of everything. Knowing all the bike shops on the route was a real help. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the guides.

Would recommend to friends, without a shadow of doubt. Brilliant experience.

The tour organisation was excellent. It was really well organised but not over-organised, which is not an easy thing to pull off. Well done. Perhaps the most telling comment was that we saw lots of other LEJOG-ers on the road and always felt sorry for them that they weren’t with our group.

The route was excellent – very clever, very good, was grateful to stay away from main roads. I had both Garmin hire and the printed notes – they were excellent too and it worked well to have both.

Overall, the tour was excellent. Hope to be back for the Channel to Med tour.

From my first browse of the website and initial conversation with Steve, I felt I would be in good hands. The experience has merely reinforced that feeling. It’s the ‘tiny noticeable’ things that Peak Tours get right. From the fun and enthusiasm of the morning briefings to the way a hot cup of tea is invitingly offered at the brew stop, to the cheers and encouragement as you scrabble to the top of Glenshee. All this demonstrates that Peak Tours understands how to create an experience you will want to repeat and share with others.

I will never forget the experience – I will recommend Peak Tours and hopefully we will be riding with you again.

The accommodation was excellent but a special mention for Brenda and Chris at the Buchan Guesthouse in Moffat – the perfect hosts and couldn’t do enough to assist. The group size was just right – everyone found their own pace and rode with riders of similar ability, so you were never too bunched up. Overall, the tour was excellent, very well organised and I would recommend it to anyone who wanted a challenge and see the UK.

All the food was excellent and very welcome at the brew stops or lunch breaks. I would rate the tour as ‘Excellent’ and would recommend Peak Tours to anyone thinking of doing LEJOG or any other tours they organise.

Tour organisation – Excellent, first class

Excellent accommodation at every stop. I went for the basic option, sharing with someone else and was pleasantly surprised at how well we were catered for. The tour was really well thought out – the stops were all in good places and broke each day up into manageable chunks. Everyone knew what they were doing and the whole thing worked really well. I had the time of my life and recommend it to anyone I talk to – you guys are the best!

Having contemplated a self-supported LEJOG, the tour organisation was so good and well appreciated that we are unlikely to consider self-supporting again. You exceeded our expectations. Channel to the Med next year!

The best holiday company I have ever experienced.

It was an amazing experience. Because of Peak Tours’ fantastic organisation and set up, and with three friendly and supportive guides, I was able, as a 48 year-old with little cycling experience, to achieve something I would never have imagined possible a year ago, and I had so much fun in the process!

An amazing experience – everything was taken care of so you could focus on cycling each day. My head is now full of wonderful memories.

The tour was so well organised in a low key, informal manner, so that it became a superb holiday. I really appreciated having my bag waiting for me in my room every night!

Breakfast and lunches were great. Brew van was always well stocked and had the right level of food to keep us going throughout the day. Fantastic tour. I would definitely recommend it to others and I hope to join another tour in the future.

The team were excellent. I think they had the right balance of leading/informing, but feeling part of the trip in a social sense in the evenings. They seemed to be genuinely enjoying it and were not just ‘employees’. Well done Dave, in particular, for leading. Overall, I would rate the tour as excellent – mechanical back up was essential. I had slipped gears and a broken gear cable, both of which were sorted for me – that was worth a lot to me. I found your historical notes excellent and would read these over again – they helped to reinforce the sense of place and journey.

How is it that I already feel like I've never been away! Obviously need to look at booking another cycling 'holiday'. Luckily I don't need to spend hours searching through the internet as no company could delivery more customer satisfaction than Peak Tours - so huge thank you to all concerned.

The route notes were excellent. As someone with nil navigation skills, even I managed to find my way!

The group size was spot on. A big enough group to be able to ride with different people each day, but small enough to get to know everyone. We would definitely make Peak Tours our first choice for future cycling holidays and will recommend you to all our cycling friends.

Getting up the hard climbs added to the sense of achievement. Spectacular scenery that would not normally be seen on other tours – plenty of visits to tourist locations. The route should, and did, have something for everyone. I will be recommending Peak Tours to friends, family and anyone else I know.

A great route overall – great variety, good cycle ways, great scenery and plenty of challenging climbs. The organisation was excellent – a cracking job, well done! A+++!

I thought the rides were thrilling. I really enjoyed our route in the Cairngorms and the challenge of the major hills there – Glenshee and The Lecht. Of course, we were very lucky with the weather in Scotland. I thought the Sustrans routes were very good, even through Edinburgh.

I had the time of my life. I want to do the French and Ireland tours now!

The route was wonderful. We do not want A roads. The full enjoyment of seeing this wonderful country especially in the sun, has to be done on as many back roads as possible. I’ve been waiting and planning this for 15 years – wonderful

I did the tour as a challenge to myself and hoped I had not bitten off more than I could chew and would be able to enjoy it. It exceeded all my expectations.

Keep going, keep doing just what you do, you can’t go wrong.

Many thanks for organising a brilliant holiday, perhaps the best holiday I’ve ever enjoyed. The organisation just hit the spot, the scenery and the route were amazing and the whole trip was the realisation of a long held ambition and the overcoming of some notable challenges; riding up Glenshee and the Lecht without stopping, even if the tongue was generally in the vertical position, was a highlight that will live with me as I gently subside into the sunset! THANK YOU!

The tour was beyond first class. I cannot fault it. The calm organisation and re-organisations (as events changed) was exemplary. The inclusion of a rider with Asperger's Syndrome was a great success for all.

The route was a real joy with so many lanes and paths and so few busy roads. Thoroughly researched – fantastic.

Absolutely brilliant. So pleased I came with you. Have recommended you to a couple of friends already.

The tour exceeded all my expectations and I had the adventure of a lifetime, which I will never forget. We had a wonderful group who all got well, helped each other out and provided lots of laughs! I hope to be back for more!

Thank you for making this a trip of a lifetime!! Would not hesitate to recommend Peak Tours.

The route was generally brilliant – the 14 day LEJOG has the right balance of challenge and efficiency with fantastic scenery. I will recommend Peak Tours to my friends. In addition, they will be the first company I will consider on my next venture.

I’ve never been to Ireland before so it was great to see so much of it. Good variety of scenery with some outstanding days- the climb on Day 9 and the descent were a real highlight. Great route! Usual excellent organisation we expect from Peak Tours. The help provided with logistics of getting bikes to/from start and finish makes a huge positive difference to the trip

The tour organisation was excellent – as always! It was a brilliant holiday

The route notes were, as usual, comprehensive and often overly fulsome in the detail provided, given that they were to be the guide between A & B. Peak Tours, for me, and this is how I describe things to people who ask me about my adventures, is an organisation which understands the needs of cyclists and seeks to help everyone who has an objective to do something like LEJOG, achieve that ambition and does so in a practical and supportive manner.  That gives Peak Tours a personality and, for me, it is attractive and very distinctive.  Please do not lose this USP and characteristic.

All the hotels and B&Bs were very good. Thank you.

It is a great route. I enjoyed the varied geography – villages, countryside, city and urban areas. The coastline and the Hadrian’s Wall stretch were stunning. Enjoyed getting a little lost … much more fun! I hasten to add the route notes were great – it was just our navigating! The brew stops never disappointed. Very memorable, tasty variety of snacks and an added ‘something different’ every day! The organisation was excellent – someone always emailed back promptly to answer my queries. Brilliant support from you all. This is my third tour now and I loved it …again!

A great challenging ride through the most magnificent countryside the mainland of Great Britain can offer.

The tour organisation was brilliant – first class.

Very imaginative route, very well researched, bringing the best UK scenery and cycling together. Matched (exceeded) my very high expectations. A rewarding adventure. Already thinking about France or possibly Ireland.

Amazed that we had to go on so few ‘A’ roads.

This is the third tour I have done with you – it’s been the hardest and probably the most enjoyable. Continue to do what you do – you do it well.

I have had two wonderful holidays with Peak tours and I am looking forward to Ireland or Italy in 2017.

The route was excellent and kept to quiet roads. Its been the best cycling experience for me, ever.

Very impressed with the tour overall, which has left some great memories.

Will be recommending you to friends and colleagues. Will definitely book again.

I shall live with the memories for a long time to come! Brilliant.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Peak Tours for a very enjoyable C2C ride. The organisation was most impressive, the accommodation very comfortable with friendly hosts and hearty breakfasts. We will recommend Peak Tours to all our friends and hope to join you again in the future. Best wishes and many thanks.

I love your tour concept. Thanks for making my trips possible. I would never have thought that at 62 I would be cycling France from the Channel to the Med, as I was not sporting at all when I was younger. The support is amazing and now my family and friends think I’m an inspiration. I’m not – I just persisted in training and got support!

Bloody awesome route – well done. Great roads, quiet roads, stunning views. Now … if you could only make Ventoux a bit flatter!

The route was amazing – mostly relatively traffic free and the fabulous descents made up for (almost) the climbs! The brew van will always be a fond memory! The hotels were good also and everyone said how great it was to have the bags in our room at the end of each day. We ran a gite business here in France for 7 years and had hire bikes & prepared routes for our guests so we have a idea of how much preparation has been put into the routes etc – you have done a great job with all the work that must have been necessary and you have a great bunch of people working for you!

Overnight stops were very good in general. Some were ultra modern and others ‘full of character’ as they were in the middle of nowhere. A really good variety and each night there was a very interesting town/city/village to explore, some stunning medieval sites. There was always a great variety of food at brew stops and the picnic lunches.

I just wanted to tell you what a fantastic team you have at Peak Tours. The Channel to Med bike ride that I've just done under the expert guidance and care of Nigel, Richard and Dan was just perfect! From start to finish, and I include the 'head office' contingent of Dave, Lee and yourself in the accolades, the service was professional, efficient and friendly, which gave the clients the comfortable feeling that everything was sorted and in control.  As a relative newcomer to the sport of cycling, this was even more appreciated by me than it was with the 'experts'!  More than this, however, was the constant vigilance and care given to ensure the safety and welfare of the 23 cyclists on the trip by all three of your staff - and all done with unstinting goodwill and a boisterous sense of humour so important on a hard expedition.

The tour organisation was excellent from first communication to the final dinner – all needs catered for.

The accommodation was very good. All clean, good food, nice staff. The tour was very, very good value. I had a great time!

Excellent route through less travelled roads. Would recommend any of the trips I have taken with Peak Tours to any competent cyclist.

Tour Organisation. Excellent+. Beyond expectation. Meeting people off the train in Portsmouth was a very nice bonus. Tour Overall. Outstanding. In comparison with other companies I have used for similar trips, Peak Tours are better in almost every way. In particular, you offer the best value by miles.

An amazing trip which far exceeded my expectations.

Wonderful route. The best road riding I have ever done. Overall, an awesome tour! Great leadership, support, great route, great hire bike from Peak Tours.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this tour to friends, family and others. I’d like to do another similar trip in the future – maybe Italy.

The picnic lunches and brew stops were excellent – substantial and a great variety. The tour organisation was very slick!

The route meant that the cycling went at the perfect speed to travel and see many beautiful areas of France that I would never have been to otherwise. The trip has clearly been planned to perfection.

A great route, loved it all. The prospect of Mont Ventoux was something to focus on and aim for. Every day I felt it couldn’t get better, but it did.

The route was amazing. I hate to think how much effort it took to find so many quiet roads across the country, north to south. The cafes were nice but the picnic lunches were fantastic. The best holiday I have ever had. It was brilliant. I have recommended you to all my friends.

The route was excellent - quiet roads, great surfaces and magnificent scenery. The picnic lunches were excellent and far better than I expected. I was also amazed at what good sites were selected for the brew and lunch stops – always either a good view, or shelter from the sun and never problems with traffic. Obviously, a lot of research goes into this.

I would not fault anything with the tour – being met at the railway station, your great service in taking my bike from Glossop and returning it from Nice made things so much easier. Arriving and leaving hotels was so easy with our bags being taken to our rooms. I cannot think of anything where the organisation was lacking.

This completely lived up to expectations and more. I loved the whole experience and would recommend others to take this journey. It was brilliant. The input from Peak Tours, with the organisation, the guides and the overall informal, but highly efficient, attention to detail was, as always, superb. Thank you.

Brew stops and lunches were fantastic – Isabelle (the guide) always looking for new treats for us!

Well organised without being over-organised. We’re all grown adults and it’s good to have that recognised! The route was so well planned in terms of terrain and difficulty, building up to Ventoux and then the Gorges du Verdon. It just got better and better. Loved the picnics.

It started off great and just got better. I highly recommend it, a fantastic two weeks.

This was a spectacular trip and fantastically well organised. Thank you very much.

Full marks for the route planning. Magnificent country. Challenging ascents (but not beyond anyone’s capability) and descents … and Mont Ventoux!

We both want to thank you for organising such a fantastic French tour. Both of us had such an amazing time, more of a holiday for me & a great holiday / hard challenge for Nicky. Having done a LEJOG I kind of knew what to expect, but Nicky was super impressed with just how well organised the tour was & how smoothly the tour ran. Undoubtedly, having 3 such fantastic guides really contributed to the success of our Caen to Nice cycle trip.

The route was simply outstanding. The tour was amazingly organised.

It was all just brilliant! John and I have never known such superb organisation which made it all run like clockwork. The ethos of Peak Tours clearly comes from the top and makes for really successful holidays that everyone loves. We had a wonderful time – thanks a million.

The tour organisation was brilliant – thanks. We really had the most amazing trip and were very impressed with Peak Tours’ service all round.

I was so impressed by the route. We rarely saw traffic and the scenery was spectacular. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in cycling in France.

The tour organisation was absolutely superb. As a participant getting on with the ride, the whole tour seemed to go like clockwork, seamlessly behind the scenes. All three guides were excellent and came across as a very efficient effective team. I greatly appreciated the fact that our luggage was in the room on arrival at the hotels – it is that level of service that really ‘makes the day’ when we arrive tired after a days cycling. The coordination between the guides and the hoteliers seemed to be excellent. Briefings were comprehensive and thorough and the brew van and lunches were extremely well organised and much appreciated. I used a pre-loaded Peak Tours Garmin which was excellent. Having said that, the route notes were also excellent, as indicated by fellow riders who relied on them

Best cycling I’ve ever done.

I thought nothing could beat Peak Tours LEJOG. I was wrong.

All the routes for each of the days were fabulous. It was rare to have a section of busy road or go through towns. The route notes were amazingly accurate.

I would recommend this company and trip to everyone.

Way of the Roses 2015

Our hosts were all very friendly and Stan was a pleasure to deal with. The route had just the correct amount of difficulty for us, challenging at times. We always went with route 2. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Even managed to ride up Winnats Pass out of Castleton as an extra, stopped twice for a brief rest.

Heart of the Peaks 2015

This was our first walking holiday and we had a great time even with hard rainfall day the last day. It was great to have someone else sort the accommodation, route and transportation of luggage. We also spoke to other hikers and found Peak Tours to be very reasonably priced compared to what they had paid. Everything was perfect for our break, a big thank you!

Glacial Gorges 2015

We had a really good time, stan was very efficient transporting the bags. Alan Richmond ay Sheriff Lodge baked Gluten Free bread specially, which was the best I have ever tasted. All the B&Bs put themselves out for my dietary requirements.

Glacial Gorges Walking Tour 2015

The Plough Inn at Hathersage had lovely rooms and excellent food and parking. We got a warm welcome from Chloe, what lovely staff!  Great accommodation, great routes and a lovely weekend, Thank you.

Peak District Rivers and Ridges Walking Tour 2015

We thoroughly enjoyed our Bike Tour holiday, as before. The bikes were excellent as provided with bag, map holder, bike computer and bottle holder.

Stanage edge, Ladybower and Castleton 2015

Once again, fantastic back up, guides and organisation. Ive booked my 4th tour, soon you’ll only have space for repeat bookers and we’ll become an incestuous lot of Steve’s Lycra disciples.

M2M 2015

The route was good and very beautiful. After a few days on the river banks it was good to get into the high country which was amazing and for me the best part of the tour. The German and Austrian bike paths are so great and it was good to hardly need to ridge on the roads. The Garmin routes were very accurate with one minor exception when we were directed onto rough tracks but that was of no real consequence.

M2M 2015

We had great group dynamics made even more special by the staff, what gems they are! Organisationally, I could not have asked for more. The staff were always on top of situations and handled things with a no fuss approach, friendly and accommodating.

Bespoke LEJOG 2015

The general avoidance of major roads was appreciated, the small lanes and cycle paths through the forests, along lakes and rivers and hedgerows in the south was fantastic. And on such routes the other vehicles seemed most considerate.

Bespoke LEJOG 2015

It was a journey of a lifetime. Thank you Graeme and Lizzy who made it a fantastic adventure.

Bespoke LEJOG 2015

What can I say other than a huge thank you for providing me with a unique, unforgettable experience shared with 23 others and guided by 3 exceptional men – Johnny, Dave and Tom. They went out of their way to ensure we had first class advice and support, I really cant put into words how grateful we all were for this and it was a repeated topic of conversation by all. What advice would I give someone contemplating the epic LEJOG?

1) Do it! And do it with Peak Tours

2) Make sure you get plenty of practice as early as possible. I spent the winter months in the gym on a watt bike. Practice as much as possible on hills, Cornwall is a killer!

3) 7 out of our group of 24 were aged 60 and over. If we could do it, then so could you!

4) Don’t worry about applying as a singleton who knows nobody else. You’ll be amazed at how quickly you get to know everyone else. More than half our group came on their own

5) As good as it is don’t have a cooked breakfast every day, it plays havoc with the digestion!

LEJOG 2015

I enjoyed that each place we stayed was so very different. In fact Mike said he will hate going back to the States where most of the accommodation is run by large companies so all very similar. I did smile when we arrived at one B&B to find the landlady was bathing a dog in the sink! LEJOG will go into my Top 5 best life experiences and I will recommend Peak Tours to anyone and everyone

LEJOG 2015

Really appreciate the thought & effort gone into keeping us off the main and busy roads, many parts of the route were sublime. The tour was well organised, we were worried that would mean corners cut – nothing could be further from the truth!

LEJOG 2015

Absolutely excellent. Thank you so much for all the hard work that goes into planning the route. I loved it so much and it showed what a wonderful country we live in. The tour organisation could not have been better. I felt spoiled having my bag in my room each day without having to carry it. The brew stops were a life saver. I cant say thank you enough to Graham, Andy and Dave were just brilliant from the very first moment of communication to the very last. Hugely caring, Hugely considerate, hugely understating, hugely entertaining, hugely safety conscious and made me feel great about my cycling ability even though I was so slow compared to the rest of the group. They could not have done more and they did it with their hearts and not just as a job. I am so grateful to them and to you Steve as every communication with all of you has been so valuable and truly appreciated by me. To sustain such professionalism and humour for all those days, every day and through every weather is commendable. What a wonderful team you all are and it was a privilege for me to have your unrelenting understanding, care, consideration, humour and support as I could not have done this experience without the sheer support that you all provided. I am really grateful to you all. Please could you pass this onto your team, I am happy for this to be used in the testimonial section of your website as well, you all deserve nothing but the very best feedback for your dedication and commitment to making this an excellent experience for me.

LEJOG 2015

A dream of a route beautiful mostly safe. Excellent would do it all over again just to see some of the scenery. Thank you

C2M 2015

All accommodations were clean and the owners were courteous. I don’t know how you managed this in France!

C2M 2015

I can’t wait till next year and I will definitely be on a Peak Tours tour soon! Professional outfit and stunning routes! Look forward to Ireland!

C2C 2015

Had the time of my life and met some great people!

C2C 2015

Absolutely brilliant, Peak Tours are excellent at organising and carrying out events. The guides were amazing, very helpful and supportive, a lovely bunch of people.

C2C 2015

We were well catered for throughout the trip and it was possible to eat very healthily. The group was a lovely size and worked well together. Graham, the guide, was very skilled at managing a very complex operation. It was also very clear that the trip had been very thoughtfully put together.

WOTR October 2015

Peak Tours are very well organised and the C2C was a great experience.

C2C October 2015

We were privileged to stay in a range of typical German hotels/B&B’s which gave a great local flavour to our tour.

M2M September 2015

The accommodation was very good most of the time, and on one or two occasions it was excellent. Namely, where we stayed on the last night, and in Frodsham. Even the YHA hostels were better than I remember, except maybe one of the showers. The route was very well chosen. Keeping the cycling away from the traffic as much as possible.

LEJOG August/September 2015

What an experience! I would recommend this trip and company to anyone who’s considering doing LEJOG. Johnny, Jim and Sam (the guides) totally made it awesome! I look forward to booking my next trip! Cheers!

LEJOG August/September 2015

The route did an excellent job of avoiding main roads and major towns/cities. It also took the path of least resistance through the mountains, perfect! The organisation was also really excellent, I would definitely use you again and recommend you. Ive been on a number of organised tours and this was one of the best! Great job, thanks.

LEJOG September 2015

Without exception I had very good or excellent accommodation ranging from pleasingly quirky to luxurious. Food was plentiful and most places were happy to provide some washing/drying services. Wonderful route with beautiful scenery. It was great to spend so much time cycling on relatively quiet roads and experience the changes in the British countryside as we moved North. I also enjoyed cycling through some of the cities – Bristol and Edinburgh in particular were highlights. The route through the Cairngorms was a great experience – the ride up Glenshee and the Lecht were particularly memorable and fun. All the guides were extremely helpful – they made an effort to ensure that we were all ok. They were fun to be with and knowledgeable about the route. I remember feeling really impressed when I arrived at the first brew stop and saw the wonderful selection of food and drink laid out for us. This continued through the tour. I think you have a winning formula, keep up the good work. I would recommend Peak Tours to anyone who wants to ride LEJOG and I hope I will have the chance to use you again for another tour in the future.

LEJOG August/September 2015

Compared to other companies doing similar trips this was real value for money.

C2M September 2015

The quality of the accommodation was much higher than expected.

C2M September 2015

The accommodation definitely exceeded my expectations, a quiet selection of roads with some stunning scenery. The tour was first rate both in terms of enjoyment and value for money.

C2M September 2015

On the whole we had an unbelievably fantastic tour and we are looking forward to selecting another tour with Peak Tours!

C2M September 2015

Really lovely route, all of it. Well thought out and put together.

C2M September 2015

The food and accommodation were excellent. A good combination of group meals and DIY. The accommodation varied from the modern to the historic, many were quirky and interesting. I found them excellent and enjoyable. It is a great treat to have the bags in the room after a day’s cycling. The route was tough and challenging, both the ascents and descents, and the climbs stretched my abilities. But it was rewarding and the route was extremely well researched, with the particularly tough days interspersed with slightly easier ones. Overall I had a great time, and I know my friends Ian and Richard did too. I cant really think of any significant change to improve the experience. The Peak Tours formula of luggage transfer, briefings, brew stops and great team is a winner. It seemed to me that about 40-50% of those on the tour had been on a Peak Tours trip before, which is great testimony to what you offer. Well done. I have encouraged a friend in our cycling group to book a LEJOG next year and Ian and I are looking at Germany next year. A wonderful two weeks, very enjoyable and exhilarating. Thanks for everything.

C2M September 2015

The Brew stops are an excellent feature of your tours. The choice of drinks, biscuits and energy bars and fruit were marvelous and essential.

C2C September 2015

All accommodations were very good, much better than expected. Also, very good that some would do washing and dry our clothes when we arrived wet. We had a good combination of guys and girls and everyone seemed to get on all through the 10 days. A really good bunch and I enjoyed riding with all of them. Communication was very good. The weekend training in April was good and gave me personally a kick up the backside to increase my level of fitness. Everything else was easy and straight to the point, communication was always good and always got an answer to any questions. It was easy to book, good communication and and the organisation, which ran like clockwork, was great from getting down to Penzance to being dropped off in Inverness. We were always briefed on the next step and if we were not sure about something, always got an answer to our questions. I personally could not fault anything during this experience. The set up that we had with the accommodation and Graham running the tour with Rob and Andy is going to be hard to beat. Those guys worked well as a team in looking after us and keeping the ten days humorous and entertaining, always positive and helpful. They made the difference.

10 Day LEJOG August 2015

I traveled with my 15 year old son on the 10 day LEJOG tour. This was quite a challenge for both of us. A huge thanks to the Peak Tours team who guided us, took care of special requests, kept us safe, advised us and above all added a sense of fun and achievement throughout. The tea stops were special moments, coming together to tea and cake, checking in with the group, topping up on essentials etc. The team did a great job, I thoroughly recommend Peak Tours and the LEJOG in particular.

10 Day LEJOG August 2015

The accommodation was fantastic. Each evening was perfect for recovering for the next day. Each area also had plenty of areas to grab a bite to eat, so that in combination with the accommodation was the perfect motivator for the following day of cycling. The routes we went along were amazing to look at. Rather than following more of the busier roads, we went along more of the country lanes and their fantastic scenery. It made each day of cycling more memorable and enjoyable. The route notes allowed us to prepare ourselves for each upcoming day. They also included the locations of each lunch stop, where our accommodation was and the altitude graphs for each day. I found these all extremely helpful. The snacks provided at 25 miles and 75 miles in of each day were a major morale booster. All of the snacks contained all the energy required to continue for the next 25 miles. The lunches halfway through each day was also a fantastic opportunity to eat indoors whilst gaining some calories back and take in some fluids. I would not have been able to do this without the food that was provided. I couldn’t have asked for better guides for the tour. They had been a major help throughout the tour and are extremely friendly people to talk to. Again, I probably wouldn’t have been able to complete this tour without their help. They sorted the accommodation, food and repaired my bike when I needed it. Ultimately they made the whole experience more enjoyable as well.  This was a fantastic tour. I would recommend it to anyone who is into cycling because there is no more enjoyable way to cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats than cycling it with Peak Tours.

10 Day LEJOG August 2015

I hoped this tour would be brilliant but it was much better than that.

10 Day LEJOG August 2015

The 2 days through the Cairngorms were absolutely stunning, I have seen so much of our beautiful country in those 14 days – an experience never to be forgotten. The tour organisation was absolutely brilliant, I really think there is room for improvement here. The guides were amazing, so encouraging, helpful and there when you needed them. A fab team, we couldn’t have done it without them THANK YOU SO MUCH! Overall an awesome experience. The sights, landscapes, group and leaders made it a journey i will never forget. So much better than I anticipated. Fantastic. I even have a tattoo to mark the event!

LEJOG

Overall a fantastically organised tour. I know how hard it can be to make everything go so smoothly but the guides did a really good job of making everything seamless and providing assistance to help us going along the way.

LEJOG August 2015

Absolutely fantastic – cannot praise your guys highly enough.

LEJOG August 2015

Absolutely superb, could not be faulted. Wonderful to explore the little lanes and use the national routes and have been constant with the occasional busy road to remind us how lucky we were to be out of traffic so much. The group was great, you obviously attract a great mix of interesting people with similar values. The organisation was brilliant, the guides never forgot what it was like to be a ‘punter’ always anticipating our needs and gave us just what we needed and wanted (eg. Extra brew stop on a cool wet afternoon) without being asked. Brew van is fantastic, luggage in rooms a lovely touch and beautiful detail.

LEJOG August 2015

Overall the tour was fantastic! Keep doing what you are doing – so well!

LEJOG August 2015

Fantastic route that took my breath away. Even the mundane parts of the country were well planned. Changing the route in Scotland seemed to be a great move, although I wasn’t so sure halfway up Glenshee and the Lecht. Seriously though, just brilliant. The tour organisation was bloody brilliant and overall it was one of the best experiences of my life!

LEJOG August 2015

Great choice of route, amazing hidden country lanes, hidden gems of villages – excellent.

LEJOG August 2015

The route was like a voyage of discovery, taking in the country lanes and using cycle routes to avoid main roads. I thought it was excellent, thank you Steve. This tour exceeded my expectations. It took me deep into the areas of the country I have never visited before. The whole group gelled together and the support team couldn’t have been more supportive and encouraging.

LEJOG August 2015

I can’t recall anything going wrong, either before we begun or whilst we were on the route. If it did then it was sorted behind the scenes, so for us riders it was as smooth as the Lochs and seas in Scotland (which were like glass!) I loved it. We were so fortunate with the weather and I realise that made the tour much easier. During and after every climb we were always rewarded with spectacular views. I was riding with 4 others and we praised the route all the time while we were riding, always amazed at how you found all of the quiet roads we were riding. We stopped in some fab places for lunch and the accommodation was great.

D2C August 2015

All B&B’s and hotels were of a really good standard. Well done. Overall, the routes each day provided us with great views using roads with light traffic and photo opportunities galore. The lunches were always plentiful and well balanced for our specific needs. The brew stops were most welcome and always provided tasty and nutritious snacks. This was my first tour and I was really impressed by the whole tour experience. I felt valued and Tom and Niv were always courteous, concerned and advisory when needed. Any bike concerns were dealt with promptly. The daily briefing and back up was outstanding. A really enjoyable first cycle tour. Challenging at times but always fulfilling, a great adventure for a 60yr+ old especially.

D2C August 2015

The route was really well worked out, despite the difference in mileage on some days the rides were similar in duration. I was on LEJOG in 2012 and didn’t think it could get much better. However, the guides made the Channel to Med tour a trip to remember for all the right reasons.

C2M August 2015

I loved every minute of it, it was the best two weeks I’ve had since LEJOG. Thanks to you all.

C2M August 2015

The scenery is simply stunning. The route balanced so more distance on the easier days and shorter days when there was more climbing. Peak Tours does this so well making trips a pleasure , where you look forward to the next days cycling. Peak Tours are just great, you really understand how to make these trips work. Nigel, Isabel and Sam worked very hard to make things work on the ground. The success reflects the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. Peak Tours are truly client focussed, and provide excellent value for money not to be forgotten cycle tours. Their organisation is excellent and this tour is absolutely amazing. I cannot thank Steve and his team enough for providing yet another excellent holiday.

C2M August 2015

The Glacial Gorges route is excellent which gave us the opportunity to walk on the limestone way, along rivers and dales, across fields as well as visiting small villages en route. We loved everything about the tour! We had fantastic walks every day, stayed in some great places and have gotten a wonderful impression of this small part of Derbyshire that we explored. All very well organised and it was good to read the notes and learn something about where we were going.

Glacial Gorges July 2015

Returned yesterday from our 5 day High Peak Rambler Tour and wanted to convey our thanks for what was undoubtedly one of our finest weeks of walking. From Initial enquiry to the final day’s walk were so impressed by the helpfulness and friendliness of Peak Tour staff, the extremely comprehensive walking pack received and excellent accommodation and welcoming B&B hosts. A fantastic operation indeed and one which we would have no hesitation in recommending.

High Peak Rambler July 2015

Steve, you did a fabulous job with the organisation of this trip. I never thought a tour could run this efficiently. Clearly all the details have been thought out, as well as back up plans when something goes awry. I learned early on how you provide individual responses and support. This is impressive. Everything you said you would do, you did. Again, it made for a seamless adventure. We saw Skedaddlers a few times, and their tour looked a lot less fun, they all seemed to lack the camaraderie we all had, which I think reflects on your planning and staff.

LEJOG July 2015

We were delighted with all aspects of the tour and enjoyed it immensely! The accommodation was to a high standard and the food was delicious.

LEJOG July 2015

Over the years I’ve tried running marathons and taking part in triathlons but nothing has ever been as thrilling, exhilarating and memorable as LEJOG.

LEJOG July 2015

The accommodation was incredible! All of our B&B hosts were very friendly and helpful. I cannot express how wonderful it was to arrive and find our luggage in our room, fresh towels, tea, coffee and snacks. The breakfasts were excellent too! We were really lucky with this group to have a range of ages, gender and abilities on our trip. It made for lots of fun. I think that the size of the group was terrific, especially when we all rode our last 8 miles to JOG’s. That we did the final ride together was a really nice touch, thanks for thinking of it. Also having Rob lead us to keep the pace nice and steady, like a celebratory parade marshall! The booking arrangements in the B&B’s went a long way in terms of encouraging us to interact with more people rather than form cliques. I really enjoyed and appreciated that touch. The staff were really generous with their time ‘after hours’ if there is such a thing  - I had wonderful, inspiring conversations with Sam, Niv, Jim and Rob thanks to them for hanging out with us over dinner. It is clear to me that Peak Tours really is passionate about what you do and that you treat your staff and clients so well. This was emphasized when I cycled past skedaddle last days morning brew stop that was parked next to a cemetery and in a very smelly mature patch. Peaks brew van was set up at the top of a hill where we enjoyed another wonderful  view, fresh air and refreshment. I got so much more out of this trip than anticipated. I wanted a lifestyle change (the training leading up to the trip achieved that), but the trip itself, the ability to do a multi-day effort and maintaining a positive outlook when my performance was not at its peak all the time was a wonderful opportunity that I would not have had time to focus on if I were paying attention to the behind the scenes details. The views, the places we stayed, the route that took us through urban and rural spaces, the misty moors over Dartmoor, were incredible.

LEJOG July 2015

A tremendous route and obvious that a great deal of thought has gone into it. The tour organisation was first class. For us OAP cyclists, the brew stops morning and afternoon were a huge help. Four 20 mile rides were easier than one 80 mile marathon! Overall , the tour was fantastic. I was able to achieve my goal and raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. I now feel like a real cyclist, though I know it is not true.

LEJOG July 2015

I find it hard to criticise anything. I wanted a challenging cycle ride which was well organised with a route which let me experience the amazing changes in the French countryside as you travel from the North to the South, and stayed in excellent hotels on the way. What I got exceeded my expectations.

C2M July 2015

Lovely quiet roads and cycle ways. France is perfect for cycling as there are no hedges to block views, and cycling through different areas was wonderful. I shall remember the sunflower and corn fields and cute cows, the smell of lavender and the outstanding views.

C2M July 2015

The route was amazing, views to die for. Did not realise how beautiful France was.

C2M July 2015

Very easy as a customer – all expectations were surpassed! I am not a long standing cyclist, very much an amateur, with a hybrid bike. The tour gave me exactly the support and challenge I required and relished to achieve an important aim. It was an amazing experience and now that I reflect upon it I almost feel that for two weeks I was in another world.

LEJOG June/July 2015

The fare served up by the brew van was outstanding and so were almost all of the other lunches and food along the way.

LEJOG June/July 2015

Fantastic experience. I found the cycling pretty challenging but very enjoyable. The route was great and all aspects of the tour from planning to delivery were excellent. A really nice bunch of people on the tour, good socialising. I decided to make a few adjustments during the tour and the tour guides were so supportive – helped me finish the tour in a way that was manageable for me, still got to see Scotland which was amazing. I really like how the accommodation is spread over smaller B&B’s, really feel like we were supporting the local people rather than the big chains all the time and I feel this is positive and important.

LEJOG June/July 2015

The tour has literally changed our outlook on life! Please don’t change a thing!

LEJOG June/July 2015

Couldn’t fault anything – the tour was fantastic, the lads were great, the route was perfect. Keep up the good work, I will definitely be using your company again in the future.

LEJOG) June 2015

You have a great formula - good staff and good organisation, I will definitely book with you again.

LEJOG June 2015

Perfect service, could not have asked for any more.

LEJOG June 2015

Lunches at the brew van far exceeded expectation and anything experienced on other cycling holidays. Peak Tours seem to have thought about everything, I cannot think of any way to improve.

LEJOG June 2015

I liked the variety of small B&Bs and bigger hotels, stayed at some really lovely places. Really liked the fresh fruit and the variety of food, like having local delicacies.

LEJOG June 2015

It was amazing. I recommend your company to anyone who asks me about my journey. Many thanks indeed for enabling me to achieve the journey.

LEJOG June 2015

The route was fantastic. So carefully planned, so varied and safe. Thank you!

LEJOG June 2015

The food was better than excellent. I’d heard about the brew van, on the training weekend and this was a great feature of the support. I couldn’t believe how much I was eating every day and this included hovering up loads at each van stop as the selection was amazing and just too tempting. There was a good range of food available at each lunch stop and the options for dinner gave plenty of choice.

LEJOG June 2015

I hired a Garmin from you with the route pre-loaded which worked brilliantly, so didn’t rely on the route notes very much but they are an essential back up and well written and presented.

C2M June 2015

The route was amazing, really appreciate the effort the team has put in to finalising it.

C2M June 2015

The route was perfect. My ideal France trip starts in Normandy, follows the Loire Valle, Crosses Mt. Ventoux, goes through the Verdon Gorge and ends in Nice. You hit all the right buttons as far as I am concerned.

C2M June 2015

Every Km was an absolute joy. I enjoyed every minute of it and feel very lucky to have been involved in one of your first Channel to Med’s.

C2M June 2015

The route was really excellent (interesting, relaxing, very challenging at times) and the lack of traffic was just delightful. Im sure it took a tremendous amount of work to put it together – it paid off, well done.

C2M June 2015

The route was great as it stayed away from busy roads and visited some lovely little villages.

C2M June 2015

The brew vans were fantastic, always a welcome sight on the road and the picnic lunches were brilliant!! Lovely spread of food, drink and desserts!! I know they were a lot of work for the guys but they were so much better than the 3 course lunch time meals that were served in the restaurant or cafes. The picnics could be as quick or as slow as you wanted, a much lighter meal and it was relaxing too. They were fab!

C2M June 2015

One of the surprises of the whole trip was the route – could not believe the variety of roads and cycle paths.

10 day LEJOG May/June 2015

The accommodation was very good and provided all that was needed. It was good that on occasions we all stayed in the same place too and had team meals. Wouldn’t recommend any changes. You have a great set up Steve, keep the great work up.

10 day LEJOG) May/June 2015

I thoroughly enjoyed the LEJOG and would recommend Peak Tours without hesitation. I have been on a JOGLE with RAB/Deloitte – this was a far better experience.

10 day LEJOG May/June 2015

Excellent, amazing two weeks. Would highly recommend.

LEJOG May 2015

I think that the entire tour, its leadership and execution was brilliant.

LEJOG May 2015

The organisation of the accommodation, bags and brew van were excellent. It was particularly impressive to see a suggested item for the brew stop appear the next day (one of our group suggested scones). Having experienced this supported tour I would not consider an unsupported tour.

LEJOG May 2015

Keep it going as it is, and the guides are excellent!

LEJOG May 2015

I thought the route was excellent, keeping us off the main roads as much as possible. I was amazed at the lack of punctures on the route too which was good. The route notes as always were excellent. I used mine every day. The food provided was spot on and provided excellent value for money. The organisation was excellent and catered for everyone and all kinds of situations.

LEJOG May 2015

I was very unsure as to whether I could do it but your organisation and team made it a real pleasure.

LEJOG May 2015

Showed the country off to its best, very scenic and little traffic. The new route through Scotland was certainly good.

LEJOG May 2015

Everything ran so effortlessly, again a complete tribute to the team on tour and obviously all the hard work at base camp.

LEJOG May 2015

I had an absolutely amazing trip & everyone was adamant that it was certainly a far more scenic trip than the LEJOG, so congrats to you and Lee for devising such a brilliant route!!

D2C May/June 2015

I was very happy with the accommodation and the smaller family run nature of the hotels. The route was really great. Quiet roads and fantastic scenery. My goal was to get a feel for the French countryside and the route really delivered on that.  I did not expect such good background notes. I know my mother really enjoyed reading the copy I gave her. She knew where I was each day. She probably wont book on herself though as she’s 86! Really liked the lunches and the different local produce. Picnics with local breads and cake are one of my favourites and you guys did and great job on that front. The buffet meals were excellent as well. The organisation could not be faulted in my view. I am really impressed by how well this tour was organised, it was as though it had been done many times before. I cannot fault this trip apart from a bit of rain at the start which I do hold Steve accountable for! I am so impressed by the professional planning and the attention to detail that has gone in. France, its countryside, the food and beer delivered on the rest but even that was partly due to the excellent route planning that caused us to cycle through some absolutely beautiful parts of the country and it continued to get better as the days went on. I thought the cycle lengths each day were just right enough to challenge but not enough to dispirit the average cyclist like me. While the leaders were laid back which set a good mood among us there really was no mistaking the professional attention paid to each detail of the trip. I am really impressed and no one has paid me a penny to say all this. Rarely do I part with money for a holiday and get such value back.

C2M May 2015

The tour took in some wonderful scenery and many lovely villages. Fantastic to have climbed Ventoux – that is an important part of the trip, but other days, especially Gorges de Verdun were particularly wonderful too. Lovely to cycle along miles of nearly car-free roads! Peak Tours’ attention to detail and careful planning are evident through the tour, much appreciated and really contributed to our enjoyment of the tour because everything runs so smoothly. We recognise how hard you have all worked in achieving this – both in putting the tour together and in how hard and long you work each day in supporting every aspect of the trip. The efficient, detailed and but relaxed organisation is why we choose peak tours – we know what we are going to get and its exactly what we want. We loved this Channel to Med tour. We have come back exhausted and exhilarated. From our experiences on Lejog we had high expectations and we were not disappointed in any way. This was wonderful – in all ways a superb trip. More of a physical challenge than LEJOG because of the long climbs in the second week, but entirely manageable and enjoyable because of the challenge.

C2M May 2015

We were very happy with all our accommodation on the tour. The Hotel on the first night (Hotel Beryl) was very good. Also particularly good was the B&B in Sault, the B&B in Loches, the Hotel la Beuze in Aubusson was very comfortable and the Brice in Nice also. These stand out, but everywhere was clean, comfortable and with very pleasant and accommodating managers/owners.

C2M May 2015

This was a fantastic tour. The route was superb, taking us through some beautiful and spectacular scenery. Steve, Nigel and Sam made every effort to make the tour a success. Another Peak Tours success.

C2M May 2015

I thought the route was great – some really good climbs (apart from the obvious big 2!) and fantastic countryside. And could the roads be any quieter, I don’t think so! Exceeded my expectations.

C2M May 2015

A brilliant couple of weeks in good company with a well organised organisation. Great fun and hopefully to be repeated on other tours in years to come.

C2M May 2015

Tour organisation was excellent, could not fault it at all. All instructions were very clear and precise, we knew all the time what was happening and when which I like. The brew van was just great, all snacks provided were all excellent. They run a very slick procedure which worked brilliantly. Never once felt hungry. The special touch of the celebratory drink and receiving a certificate at the end of the tour was a very nice surprise and a fantastic end to a fantastic weekend. We both thoroughly enjoyed the whole of the tour, we will definitely be doing another one with Peak Tours.

C2C May 2015

Food and snacks provided by Peak Tours during rest periods on route were excellent and helped me complete the tour without a doubt. Fantastic team, great support with outstanding knowledge. Very friendly and made you feel comfortable and relaxed, keep up the good work.

C2C May 2015

Great group, size was just right, you could all go at your own speed and there was always someone to cycle with. We all got on very well, fab 3 days.

C2C May 2015

I have no suggestions on how it could be improved – it was perfect! Thank you and keep up the fantastic work! Would definitely do another tour and recommend you to all our friends!

C2C May 2015

The tour organisation was absolutely faultless. It clearly shows a lot of work has gone into organising everything. 10 out of 10 and I would do it again tomorrow…. if my legs would let me.

Lejog 10

The Plough Inn at Hathersage had lovely rooms and excellent food and parking. We got a warm welcome from Chloe, what lovely staff!  Great accommodation, great routes and a lovely weekend, Thank you.

Peak District Rivers and Ridges Walking Tour 2015

I have no suggestions on how it could be improved – it was perfect! Thank you and keep up the fantastic work! Would definitely do another tour and recommend you to all our friends!

Coast to coast May 2015

I would certainly recommend Peak Tours to people who want to complete this challenge. All three guides were excellent and added to the ride in their different ways.

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2014

Graham, Niv and Andy made the tour. They were very supportive and great company. Overall, the tour was excellent.

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2014

The tour guides were fantastic, gave support where required and quickly recognised that we were competent cyclists/navigators/mechanics and left us to it! They seemed to genuinely care that we were all happy and went out of their way to solve any problems.

Can't fault the organisation - very slick operation.

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2014

Everything excellent. Tom and Phil were so helpful. I really can't say how it could be improved.

Way of the Roses July 2014

The variety of B&Bs was very good – each was unique. Cannot say enough how helpful Graham, Niv and Bill were throughout the trip.

Lands End to John O'Groats May 2014

Absolutely fantastic.I've already recommended you to a number of friends and as soon as I have the time, I plan to do another trip with you!

Lands End to John O'Groats

The organisation was absolutely bloody fantastic. Its obvious that a lot of effort has been put in to planning routes and sorting stops and accommodation.Really impressed - no wonder you get repeat business. Am seriously considering signing up for another tour when my bum recovers!

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2014

Fantastic experience. Graham, Johnny and Bill were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Cannot speak highly enough of their efforts to make the tour enjoyable. Very impressed with the food- buying in local specialities as we travelled North was a nice touch.

Have recommended Peak Tours to everyone I speak to about the trip.

Lands End to John O'Groats

Congratulations all round! Trip of a lifetime! Thank you!

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2014

The organisation was perfect but without being overpowering in any way. I was more mentally relaxed for the whole fortnight than I have been for years! The tour guides (Graham, Andy and Niv) were tremendous. Their care, attention, skills and approach made the whole tour work so smoothly and perfectly but also so relaxed and flexible.

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2014

This is so good! I would recommend Peak Tours without any reservations! We are looking on the website to see what we can do next!

The group size sounded too big but it was great. Always someone you could ride with but you could be on your own if you wanted.

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2014

Peak Tours is brilliant. This was my first 'supported' tour. Hopefully, I will do another and if I do, it will be with Peak Tours.

The brew van was brilliant - if we suggested something different to eat/drink, it was on the van the next day. Good mix of group meals and free evenings gave us the right amount of space whilst still feeling part of a group.

The tour ran like clockwork - incredibly well organised throughout by Graham, Niv and Andy.

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2014

From start to finish, I thought the tour was excellently organised. it was an unforgettable experience. Thank you.

Lands End to John O'Groats July/August 2014

I will recommend Peak Tours to everyone. I will be booking another tour with you in the future.

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2014

Steve - it is now two weeks since we finished the ride of a lifetime. I must share how wonderful an experience the ride was. It began as a distance challenge, but by about day 2 or 3, as the group gels and we become more comfortable with the routine and your team, the ride is about people, life's experiences, remarkable countryside and the collective mission to get through to the next brew stop! I have told all on my return, that the distance is eminently achievable - it is the rest of the experience one is unprepared for. As for the guides - had it not been for the incredible talent of Graham, Andy and Dave, we all would have enjoyed the trip considerably less than we did.

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2014

Wow! Where do I start? Did the tour meet my expectations? In a word - No - it far exceeded them! it really is difficult to put into words how much I enjoyed not just the journey of LEJOG but the whole experience overall.

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2014

The tour organisation was as smooth as a cashmere codpiece!

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2014

Wonderful accommodation with lovely people - very helpful and welcoming

The food provided was perfect. Lunches were fabulous, brew stops wonderful - Andy, Graham and Dave could not do enough for us.I can't praise them highly enough. Great mechanical knowledge, very caring, inspired confidence, great company.

I had the time of my life.

Lands End to John O'Groats July/August 2014

The group size was perfect as we all found small groups of people at similar speed so we stayed together, then in the evenings we mixed with the other riders. Everyone got on really well.

Will be coming back for more and will recommend you to all my cycling friends too. I can't thank you enough for exceeding all our expectations and helping us live a dream that we have had for so long.

Lands End to John O'Groats July/August 2014

To make a tour accessible to relatively inexperienced cyclists and yet still challenging to club riders is no easy thing. Graham, Dave and Andy went above and beyond to ensure that everybody's needs were catered for. All aspects of the tout were very well organised and it is really difficult to see how you could improve on the 'Peak Tours Experience'. Thank you!

Lands End to John O'Groats July/August 2014

The trip was incredible, brilliant, really really enjoyed it. The group was quite special and we made many new friends. Graham, |Dave and Andy were outstanding, with nothing too much trouble and looked after us extremely well. Could not have better. Big thanks.

Lands End to John O'Groats

First time using peak tours and was really pleased how well organised it was. Would highly recommend and would do another tour.

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2014

Steve - it was just brilliant from first contact to battling to get my bike out of the box yesterday! I have lived the dream. Peak Tours are a company I would highly recommend and i think I will be coming back for more.

Lands End to John O'Groats June/July2014

Niv, Johnny and James worked so hard to make the trip run smoothly and they were great guides and companions! I had such a good time. Brilliant!

Lands End to John O'Groats June 2014

Guides were beyond excellent. Brew van was totally awesome – that red van made the Tour for me! Overall, excellent plus.

Lands End to John O'Groats June 2014

Steve, you’ve got it just right, mate – don’t change a thing. We wish it could have lasted forever (except for the sore backsides and tired legs)!

Lands End to John O'Groats June 2014

The accommodations were perfect and interestingly varied and gave me a well - rounded sense of what Britain is all about. Everything worked like clockwork. Thanks for doing such a great job. I will definitely choose Peak Tours on my next cycling adventure.

Lands End to John O'Groats June 2014

If you are crazy enough to attempt to ride LEJOG then I challenge anyone to find a better company than Peak Tours. Their support and organisation was absolutely excellent. We’ve now ridden two of their bike tours and would definitely ride with them again.

Lands End to John O'Groats June 2014

This has been the hardest thing I have ever done but also the most rewarding and the biggest accomplishment ever! Peak Tours made that possible and I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of doing a cycling tour!

Lands End to John O'Groats May/June 2014

I always felt that I was in safe hands. The cycling was fantastic and the guides (Graham and Jim) added to the experience with their stories, jokes, knowledge and encouragement every step of the way. Will definitely book up for another Peak Tour!

Lands End to John O'Groats May/June 2014

Thanks to everyone involved in making this an amazing and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended.

Lands End to John O'Groats May 2014

LEJOG is a big deal for anyone who undertakes such a challenge. I always felt that Peak Tours respected that in the way they facilitated our dreams coming true.

Lands End to John O'Groats May 2014

The experience of a lifetime. Thanks for putting on such a great tour. Exceeded all of my expectations.

Lands End to John O'Groats May 2014

When Andrew suggested we do this on a tandem, I wasn’t sure it was possible. Not only did we manage it but we also enjoyed every minute – and would have happily gone back down again with Graham, Bill, Niv and the rest of the group)!

Lands End to John O'Groats May 2014

Route notes were spot on – clearly a lot of work goes on into maintaining and checking them. Organisation couldn’t have been better. Everything sorted, problems resolved quickly and efficiently. Felt fully supported at all times.

Lands End to John O'Groats May 2014

Excellent mix of fast roads, country lanes and traffic free routes using NCN where practicable. Love to do it again, although I know I won’t!

Lands End to John O'Groats May 2014

The last two weeks was everything I had hoped it would be, and possibly a little bit more. Tough, challenging, emotional, but immensely rewarding and a whole lot of fun!

Lands End to John O'Groats May 2014

Beyond Excellent!

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2013

Tony Warne made the trip for me, so helpful and informative and patient and looked after the bike really well. He was kept busy! Would definitely ask for Tony again, in a year or so!

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2013

The route was very enjoyable and I had to stop sometimes to take in the view and the silence. I sometimes found I was speechless which is hard to do!! I have seen parts of the country I have never seen before and I will be making sure I visit these places again.

Fantastic tour which I would love to do again. I am made up I have achieved a massive goal in my life and I can say I did LEJOG.

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2013

I loved all three tour guides Graham, Jonny and James! They all worked hard with their duties of cycling with the group, manning the brew van and fetching and delivering the luggage. Collectively they gave great advice on bike problems, eating , drinking, restaurant choices in town and body niggles!

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2013

Great experience! Good value for money

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2013

The pub buffets were excellent and the organised evening meals and recommended places to eat were all great too.

Graham, Andy and Johnny were fantastic company and their encouragement and support throughout the two weeks really made a difference. The way they responded to everyone on the trip helped us all to get along. No one was ever left out, as can easily happen with a big group of people. I was amazed by Graham’s technical know –how and really appreciated how he tackled any bike problems with good cheer. His morning briefings were excellent and he was always so positive (even in the rain), making it easier to get going each day. Johnny and Andy provided much humour and were always a welcome and cheerful sight at the brew stops.

I really enjoyed the whole trip, from a cycling point of view, but also as a holiday. I’d thought about trying to do an unsupported tour but was so glad that I did it this way instead. Everything about the organisation and the way the trip was run really made it a superb two weeks. In the future I’m sure I’ll be looking at some of the other trips you run

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2013

The trip has been amazing. Arriving at JOG as one group speaks volumes about the friendship and support we all gave and received along the journey. I am indebted to everyone and thank each of you for making this experience a life long memory I will treasure.

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2013

Absolutely brilliant, best “holiday” yet! A great mix of people from all age groups and all walks of life. The guides friendly, helpful and experience certainly added value to this trip.

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2013

The route notes were really detailed, we didn’t get lost once!

What can I say! Nigel, Graham and Tony were simply the best. I was so impressed with how quickly they appeared when we had a problem. They were always happy, friendly, encouraging and really couldn’t have done more for us. Brilliant!

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2013

I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the youth hostels and I liked the atmosphere.

The tour leaders were very enthusiastic, very genuine concern for us all, our safety and enjoyment of the trip. Professional at all times but still made the tour great fun. Nothing was ever a problem and they went out of their way on a daily basis. The guys worked well as a team and the banter between them was great.

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2013

Brilliant organisation, tour notes and support. Very friendly and supportive. The ride was great because of the group, the age spread, mix of gender and ability. The daily mileage was just about right.

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2013

Graham, Nigel and Tony were absolutely amazing, I was so grateful for their support and encouragement throughout.

Lands End to John O'Groats July/August 2013

The training weekend was very useful, it was a wake up call to put more hills into training. I certainly went from distance to hills during the last few weeks.

Lands End to John O'Groats July/August 2013

A fabulous experience, Peak Tours is very well organised, friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering LEJOG or any other cycle tour

Lands End to John O'Groats July/August 2013

The tour leader (Nigel) was magnificent. I cannot give enough praise for his enthusiasm, his work ethic throughout and his management/organisational skills. A lovely sense of humour. All three worked well as a team and are to be congratulated on the way they performed their duties

Lands End to John O'Groats July/August 2013

Loved it and didn’t want it to end

Lands End to John O'Groats July/August 2013

I’d like to thank you for all the hard work you put in before we left-sorting accommodation, transfers, meals etc. Everything ran like clockwork and it’s a credit to you that it did. You have a great company that I’d recommend in a heartbeat to anybody and would eagerly use again.

Lands End to John O'Groats July/August 2013

Maurice and I really enjoyed the tour – indeed I think it might even have the status of “best holiday ever”! Yes the weather helped, but I think for both of us it was the people who made the holiday – both the tour leaders and the other participants- I have to admit I felt quite emotional leaving everyone at Inverness Station and to think we had only known each other for two weeks!

Lands End to John O'Groats July/August

I wish we could have had a day off at JOG then turned and gone back to LE, it was that superb. I hope to join you for Dover to Cape Wrath next July, please can we have Graham, Phil and Niv (and sunshine!)

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2013

The route was amazing! Lots of smaller quiet roads through fantastic scenery – what’s not to like?!

This is the best holiday I have ever had. The heady mix of exercise, fantastic scenery and great people add up to an experience I will treasure forever. Thank you Peak Tours I have had the time of my life!

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2013

The owners of the B&B’s were uniformly excellent in the service they gave

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2013

This is the best thing I have ever done and Peak Tours organisation and planning is superb. If you want to do something life changing, do LEJOG and do it with Peak Tours!

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2013

The Accommodations exceeded my expectations.

Keeping the tour off busy roads saves lives and makes for a more memorable ride. It’s nice to see that there still is a bit of “Old England” that still exists

Lands End to John O'Groats June/July 2013

Many, many thanks to you and all at Peak Tours. The experience was fantastic and a challenge that I will never forget. Graham, James and Johnny were superb and the logistics, arrangements, route notes, B&B’s, brew van stops and general organisation was highly effective and enabled a memorable experience for all.

Lands End to John O'Groats June/July 2013

My memory of the route is not of the hills but of the fabulous downhills that seemed to go on for miles!

Everything went smoothly and was extremely well organised. The whole route was made much easier and enjoyable with the brew stops and lunch stops.

Lands End to John O'Groats June/July 2013

Suberb route, well researched and put together. Good use of NCN and main roads where unavoidable

Lands End to John O'Groats June/July 2013

The guys were excellent. Very professional, dedicated and approachable

Lands End to John O'Groats June/July 2013

The tour organisation was great. The riders only had the bike, roads, weather, direction, hills, food and drink to worry about. You really do enter a different world for two weeks. Brilliant!

Lands End to John O'Groats June 2013

The route was truly exceptional, the Garmin routes were excellent and your team knew virtually all of the detail

Lands End to John O'Groats June 2013

One of the joys of the trip was the variety of places that we stayed. I particularly liked The Mill in Conder Green and The Crask

Lands End to John O'Groats June 2013

I thought the group size was just right, the group spread out during cycling and it was nice to meet up later for the group meals

Lands End to John O'Groats June 2013

I would recommend Peak Tours to anyone. Customer service, organisation, enjoyment, detail, flexibility, brilliant!

Lands End to John O'Groats June 2013

I thought the route notes were very clear and concise – a veritable triumph!

The trip of a lifetime, how do you improve upon perfection?!

Lands End to John O'Groats June 2013

All the lunch stops were great, the brew van was excellent and a great joy to reach each day, I love the brew van – will miss that!

Loved our tour leader (Lee ) and guides,. They were always jolly and motivated us all in the right direction even on the tough days. They must be exhausted working for 2 weeks with no break, however that never showed in their behaviour and personality, I felt well looked after.

Had a great two weeks and found the whole trip mentally relaxing! I’ll probably get cycle withdrawal symptoms! I would definitely recommend Peak Tours.

Lands End to John O'Groats May 2013

Awesome. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Lands End to John O'Groats June 2013

Loved the fact that the accommodation hosts were so welcoming, accommodating offering to wash wet/dirty cycling gear, asking how our day had been etc. Little things like that do make a difference!

Having selected Peak Tours because we wanted organisation without it feeling organised, we have to say it was spot on. It was so very well organised that it just flowed

We loved the training weekend, it gave us the confidence to approach LEJOG knowing what we’d been doing was along the right lines

Lee, Neil and Graham could not have done more. They were organised, helpful, sympathetic, motivating and fun. They made the whole experience flow so that all we had to do each day was get on our bikes each day and cycle. If LEJOG could ever be said to be “easy” they made it feel so.

Lands End to John O'Groats May 2013

Evening meals were brilliant, a good combination of “organised” evenings and free choice.

The brewstops were brilliant in every respect and responded to my requests

All three (Lee, Neil and Graham) were outstanding in every respect. They were all extremely professional; supportive and encouraging; well informed about the ride and route and helpful in sorting out bike problems, I can’t praise them enough.

I had a fantastic time and would recommend Peak Tours very highly to anybody contemplating LEJOG

Lands End to John O'Groats May 2013

Overall a brilliant tour which I would recommend to anyone wishing to do a LEJOG

Neil 10/10 Graham 10/10 Lee 11/10

Lands End to John O'Groats May 2013

The tour surpassed all my expectations

Lands End to John O'Groats May 2013

A first class route

Lee is a star, Neil will be missed and Graham is a first class addition to the team, Nothing was too much trouble for the group. They communicated all necessary information well, helped to maintain the bikes and organised everything.

Lunches were great at every venue. Snacks in the brew van were varied and plentiful

Lands End to John O'Groats May 2013

Lee, Neil and Graham did an excellent job of seeing everything ran smoothly and that everyone was happy, thanks again to you all you made the tour enjoyable

Lands End to John O'Groats May 2013

A good balance between a demanding route and a fun holiday. It didn’t take itself too seriously, but was professional in its delivery.

Lands End to John O'Groats May 2013

I would like to complement you on the amazing way in which you organised our tour, and supported us all the way to John”O’Groats. I cannot speak highly enough about you, and of course Phil and Graham. It was wonderful to arrive at the end of a day and find our bags in the room. The B&Bs were well chosen, and won me over to B&Bs , rather than hotels.

Lands End to John O'Groats April 2013

Thanks for a truly life-changing experience during this ride.So many unforgetable moments with interesting individuals that the photos keep me reminded of. A special thank you to Steve, Graham, and Phil whose organisation and support was terrific.

Lands End to John O'Groats April 2013

Just wanted to say thanks for a fantastic experience. The support provided by yourself, Graham and Phil was superb and very reassuring. Everything ran so smoothly it probably doesn't make us appreciate the effort that has to go into the organisation and looking after everybody's different needs. What was most impressive was that support always seemed to be able to be provided to everybody no matter where they were on the route. I still don't know how you managed that with no sign of stress shown by any of you.

Lands End to John O'Groats April 2013

Thank you, Steve, for sending along the great photos. I have thoroughly enjoyed going through each one just now and once more reliving our outstanding adventure together. I fear my poor wife and dear friends back here at home in the States are tiring of my endless chatter about LEJOG. But it will remain always one of the best and most fun things I have ever done in my life. I loved each day as well as being with all of you. Please know of my great gratitude for everyone's good cheer having a lone American along for the ride; y'all were very gracious to me! You Brits have one gloriously beautiful kingdom, and it was a privilege for me to see the country this way.

Lands End to John O'Groats April 2013

"An amazing experience, the weather, body, bike, and social challenges. The journey became more physically, and mentally achievable as the days went by. It made me draw so deep everyday on many different levels, that I can not begin to tell you (it has enabled me to grow and develop in mind, body, and soul!). I almost did not want it to end.......Why not spend the rest of your life cycling around the world, living out of a rucksack, and a pannier! However, life goes on, and I would miss my good friends!"

Lands End to John O'Groats April 2013

The Accommodation was great and the owners where very friendly and helpful and the ones doing our washing was a great help.

Loved the route with some great traffic free roads and lovely views.

Route notes where excellent and very clear to read so they tell me as we left that up to Jim and Tony !!!

The tour organisation was excellent much better than I had expected. A big thanks to you, Phil and Graham, you all could not have been more helpful.

I loved the tour, we had a great time and met lots of nice people so its something I will never forget.

I will have no problems in recommending your tour to any one so thanks again for making LEJOG such a great 14 days and hope all goes well in the future.

Lands End to John O'Groats April 2013

Thanks again for the trip, I have stayed at some pretty nice resorts and not had the good time I had with your operation.

I have told people about it and mentioned that your 100% professional as are Graham and Phil.

I have never seen 24 strangers 27 including you guys, for 2 weeks be in such close quarters without a cross word or bad comment about something, that alone says you ran a successful trip. A good time was had all around.

Lands End to John O'Groats April 2013

Clearly a lot of effort had gone into ensuring the best possible route at all times.

Route notes faultless, knowledge of the route by Peak Tours very good – realistic and sensible

Steve, Phil & Graham could not have been more helpful, more supportive, always smiling, always there, quietly efficient

Thank you for making what had been a long term ambition come true – the support and service you offered made it possible for me

Lands End to John O'Groats April 2013

Route was brilliant with good use of NCN etc. It was amazing that you managed to keep the route notes so accurate. Notes backed up by excellent briefing each morning.

Brilliant organisation, brilliant leadership and a brilliant experience from start to finish. Many Thanks to Steve Graham & Phil.

Lands End to John O'Groats April 2013

Perfection on Wheels!

Lands End to John O'Groats April 2013

Route was fantastic – quiet country lanes with A roads at a minimum. I find this difficult to do for local training routes so to have such a great routes for the length of the UK shows the preparation and planning you have carried out.

For what must be a daunting task I thought the tour organisation was excellent. Morning debrief very good idea, route notes good, arrangements with luggage van , brew van etc - excellent. All the staff very approachable and more than helpful with any questions even at the end of a long day.

Good mix of choice of pubs some evenings / group meals on others. Tour cost seemed reasonable when we booked it up when you broke it down day by day. Having been on the tour and experienced what was provided this is definitely the case.

Thank you for helping me achieve an ambition / dream I have had since I was 15 years old.

Lands End to John O'Groats April 2013

The tour organisation was ten out of ten, I think you had everything covered. I wish I was doing it again next week.

Lands End to John O'Groats April 2013

I saw some parts of the U.K i didn't know existed; some beautiful towns and villages. I saw some amazing scenery, The Wye Valley, The Highlands etc, etc. The Sustrans cycle paths were great. All in all a great route difficult to better.

All the lunch stops were tremendous, excellent quality and large amounts to feed hungry people. Really excellent!

I met some lovely people. We all seemed to gel well and get on. Much of this was down to the skills of the three organisers who made sure things worked.

BRILLIANT!! Wonderful organisation. Tony, Lee and Neil deserve instant beatification. I felt they really cared. They were sensitive to situations, they never ceased smiling and encouraging. They were tolerant and never judgmental of my laziness and disorganisation. A really great team. Without them i'm certain i wouldn't have finshed. And Lee's one mean guitarist too!!

I feel elated, disconnected from reality and really pleased to have had such a wonderful adventure with such a lovely group of people.

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2012

I loved the fact that it's quite understated, no fussing or faffing about, keep up the low key approach.

The lads were brilliant, in fact for me it was them that made the whole thing possible, all I had to do was pedal. All three of them of them went out of their way to help us and were happy from start to finish.

The tour was fantastic, don't fix what ain't broke, you're doing a great job!

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2012

Lee, Neil and Tony were absolute superstars and set the tone for the whole trip. I can't praise them highly enough. They were professional, knowledgable and helpful to a fault, organised, diligent, cheerful and a whole lot of fun. An absolute credit to Peak Tours

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2012

I loved the informal, but at the same time efficient approach

Great tour leader/team and overall back-up.

A most enjoyable two weeks which was made easier by the input from Peak Tours

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2012

Tour guides were perfect! Smoothly organised. No complaints. Thank you!

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2012

Hi Steve, can i just say what a fantastic experience the tour was. Great bunch of people from all different backgrounds. The B and B's were great, the lunch stops were all of a high quality. The route notes spot on! A special mention to all three guides who were fantastic and certainly earned their money over the two weeks. Lee was very professional throughout and i could tell he really loves what he does. Neil was brilliant! always cheerful had a great laugh with him he really got my sense of humour! And Tony is just quality he too has got a great personality, which you definitely need for this job. I have not one complaint! Loved every minute! Full marks from me. Thanks again.

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2012

A great team who made the 1000 miles a pleasure. Thank you very much

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2012

I found navigation really easy and i was warned about this beforehand as it's not a strongpoint of mine

My suggestions are just that. I couldn't find fault ( I would say 'if i tried' but i did try!) I would have no hesitations in recommending you to anyone. Steve, Nigel and Graham really made the trip. I felt totally supported and looked after in every way from being fed well, being encouraged, being advised to looking after my bike (and my flip flop!)

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2012

First rate organisation, it's hard to imagine how it could be bettered

A wonderful experience that i have recommended to my friends

From my perspective perfect

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2012

Generally speaking the quality of service is not particularly high in the U.K as we discussed during the tour, but there are always exceptions, i think that you are one of them!

I felt that Steve, Nigel and Graham were excellent leaders/partners to travel with. Companying with twenty-five people for two weeks is not an easy task, but you did it fantastically. I was truly impressed with all of you!

The trip was an unforgettable experience and i felt that i chose the right company.

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2012

All accommodation was to a very high standard with a very friendly service, clean and comfortable

The route was challenging but very enjoyable throughout

The food was fantastic, varied and plentiful.

I have never been on anything so well organised, which made the whole experience extremely enjoyable.

Steve, Graham and Nigel 'Three Lovely Chaps' who made the trip really enjoyable, nothing was too much trouble, all were well organised and informed, a very big thank you to all!

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2012

The route is well thought out and went through some of the most beautiful parts of the country.

There was a good mix of people and enough that smaller groups of similar ability were formed.

It was well organised and ran very smoothly. Well done

What can i say? - it was the best thing i've ever done and i would do it again tomorrow. I haven't laughed so much in years!

Keep doing what you're doing it was ACE!! There was a good mix of people and enough that smaller groups of similar ability were formed.

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2012

Cannot fault the tour in any way whatsoever it was fantastic food, route, accommodation and staff were all above any expectation i was hoping for. And people were as friendly and helpful, thank you so much.

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2012

The tour organisation was first class, 11/10 !!

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2012

All the B&B's i stayed in were good, especially the walled garden in Moreton Hampstead, the landlady was very helpful and the place was immaculate. Obviously the Crask Inn was another highlight; a surreal but wonderful place to stay!

I thought the route was excellent. It kept us off the main roads wherever possible which was really appreciated

The route notes were detailed, clear and easy to follow

It was such a luxury to have all the lunches organised and ready to eat

I was continually impressed by the organisation throughout the duration of the trip. It seemed that every eventuality had been thought of. The brew stops also seemed to always be at exactly the point where i was thinking i really need a brew stop!

The training weekend was excellent. It gave me a real taster of how the days riding would work. It also gave me a real idea of how fit i would need to be.

I really can't find any fault with this trip ata all i will happily be recommending Peak Tours to anyone who wants to do a similar trip

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2012

The attention to detail impressed me the most, you thought of everything.

Unforgettable for all the right reasons.

The tour is perfect, keep doing what you're doing!

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2012

The tour organisation was superb, i know you've done many and are so well practised in organising these tours but the van stops/milage and routes taken (ie where accommodation was and the terrain covered before and after) was perfect in my opinion.

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2012

From start to finish it way exceeded my expectations. From the routes to the milage each day and the individual care.

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2012

I would recommend you to anyone, in fact i have!

Enjoyed it immensely. You and the team exceeded all expectations

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2012

Couldn't believe the lunches - especially the Sunday Carvery near Kendal. I put weight on during the tour so it must have been good!

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2012

All B&B's were comfortable and welcoming

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2012

Nice mix of people. Group large enough to be able to socialise with a variety of different characters. Worked well

It surpassed my expectations, i absolutely loved it

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2012

I thought the route excellent. It was interesting and challenging and i liked the fact it avoided as many main roads as possible. I did just over 1000 miles. It was useful having a few options as well. I have subsequently talked to other people who have done the record route and i think i made the right choice.

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2012

All the accommodation was of a very high standard run by pleasant people who were welcoming and helpful. At the end of a very wet day on the bike it was really nice to know there would be a hot shower, comfortable bed and good food. Those owners who were willing to wash cycling kit were particularly useful and perhaps it would be possible to stress this point to the owners of the B&B's

Lee, Neil and Rod were very well organised and everything happened where and when they said it would. The brew van stops and organised lunch stops were most welcome and contrasted strongly with my previous LEJOG where you were basically left to fend for yourself all day. Although i didn't suffer mechanical problems or health/injury issues, it was good to know that back-up was available if needed.

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2012

Excellent route with limited time spent on busy roads.

The training weekend was very useful, it helped focus my mind about the amount of training required.

A great experience and one that i will never forget. It was tough but thoroughly enjoyable at the same time

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2012

Excellent, I don't have to say anymore, just excellent!

Excellent from the day i called you to the end. Excellent value for money and three great lads to help me on my way.

Lands End to John O'Groats June 2012

From start to finish a very slick operation

Lands End to John O'Groats June 2012

Well thought out and briefed. The three operators responded quickly and effectively to changing circumstances, well done!

Helpful to relatives! All staff were courteous towards myself and daughters on seeing Martin off and cheering him back in and welcoming. Thank you for looking after him!!!

Lands End to John O'Groats June 2012

Having a cuppa from the back of the van mid morning and mid afternoon was perfect and something i haven't seen on other trips. Excellent supply of biscuits and bananas(and strawberries!!)

Lands End to John O'Groats June 2012

Fantastic route notes with meticulous planning and the milages were spot on

Lands End to John O'Groats June 2012

Really enjoyed the training weekend. It was good to meet with others and also to see how Peak Tours worked as an organisation.

Lands End to John O'Groats May 2012

I just wanted to say thank you for a superb trip, It was a fantastic experience and extremely well organised and run from beginning to end. It was an absolute pleasure to meet both of you and I hope to ride with you again before too long.

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2011

Now that I have settled back in at home I wanted to write and express my gratitude and appreciation that you, your company and Nick put into organising the End to End over the past couple of weeks. Personally, I feel that my achievement could not have happened without your tremendous support. What was particularly remarkable for me and I think Phil was the 'hands on' personal service you gave. I imagine that by the end you were feeling as exhausted as we were. I was very impressed with way both you and Nick tried to accommodate the varied needs, wants and capabilities of the group. It was a group of such diverse experience and ability so it was a tribute to you that we all made it 'home'.

I rather enjoyed the mix of B&Bs as all were distinctive and enjoyable in their own way. The comaraderie amongst the group was great and it was good to see that emerge over the weeks.

Once again I have nothing but praise for the very personal and informal organisation of the trip and I wish you every success with the business in the future. Don't forget to let me know when the London - Vienna ride gets off the ground.

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2011

Just a quick note to say thank you for making the September lejog such a memorable experience for me. It was always reassuring to know that you were around to deal with any problems.

I'm sure that as participants we didn't see or know about all the headaches you had to deal with behind the scenes. Thanks also for doing the running repairs on my bike in such a calm & professional way.

All in all, a great trip and I would thoroughly recommend Peak Tours to anyone else contemplating doing the end to end.

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2011

Loved every minute of it!

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2011

It's up there with the best experiences of my life!

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2011

Fantastic & very helpful guides - supportive & always there.

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2011

Trip of a lifetime!

Lands End to John O'Groats August 2011

I am writing to thank you for an excellent tour from LE to JOG. The tour by far exceeded my expectations. As I mentioned at our celebration dinner, it seems important to you for us to enjoy, not just endure the trip. My favorite places to stay were the aged buildings with creaky floors and narrow stairs (still clean and comfortable with good food and a hot shower). I believe your soft-spoken and patient manner helped secure the sense of camaraderie that made the trip a pleasure.

I thank you also for helping me with my pre-trip questions.

By way of contrast, I would mention what I observed at the pub in Mey where we gathered on the last day. Each time one of our riders came through the door, there was a spontaneous cheer from the group already assembled. It was not planned or forced, but a genuine appreciation for the success of each person. Also in the same pub were the riders of another company. Each time one of their riders came through the door, there was just a glance and shrug of the shoulders. I find this a very telling story.

I thank you and Nick for leading us through the small villages and narrow roads on a very scenic route. It was a great challenge and adventure.

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2011

The tour exceeded my expectations. I had planned this as a once in a lifetime opportuntity & now have the memories to cherish. The added bonus was the chance to establish friendhips & to share the daily experiences with other riders.

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2011

I was highly impressed with how slick everything was. You were dealing with a lot on a daily basis but never got rattled. Both Steve & Nick were excellent. I felt fully supported at all times.

I have no hesitation in recommending you to other people, in fact I already have. I would also be interested in future tours aswell.

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2011

Just a quick note to say how much I really enjoyed the 2 weeks. I thought the whole group gelled together remarkably well and with lots of laughs and encouragement along the way. All over far too soon.

It’s taken several days to come down from the high of day after day of scenery, camaraderie, eating, riding and witty banter!

A special thanks to you and Nick for making it all so relaxed, friendly and exceptionally well organised. 10 out of 10.

Hope the August tour goes well without you………a very tough act to follow.

Please do let me know as soon as you have more details of your proposed European tour……. I could be the first to sign up!

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2011

Just wanted to say a further massive thank you to you both for an absolutely fabulous LEJOG holiday/challenge. It was all I hoped it would be and much more, enjoyed the whole ride and really appreciated the fantastic support/organisation and support from yourselves.

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2011

The route was fantastic – great mix of rural roads & NCN routes – we did very little cycling on busy roads & where we did it was unavoidable. The route up through Scotland in particular was brilliant.

The lunches were absolutely fantastic – a great choice & just the right type of food. Provided the opportunity to meet up before the afternoon cycling. Breakfasts at both B&B’s & YHA’s were also very good. Never felt hungry for the whole ride.

Both Steve & Nick did their own individual roles to perfection – in addition it was done in such a way as you never felt a nuisance asking for anything, asking advice etc. I thought the ‘atmosphere’ that you generated/fostered within the group was first class!

The tour was everything I hoped it would be & much more. I have never been on any tours before so was a bit apprehensive as to what to expect & whether I’d cope, but I can honestly say that I loved the while experience – even the rainy day out of Slaidburn – a real achievement!

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2011

Steve & Nick were first class – hard working, well informed, constantly thinking forward and so good humoured – the pair of you should give classes.

I thoroughly enjoyed the tour – did what it said on the tin. Peak Tours did a sterling job.

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2011

The tour organisation was excellent, I couldn’t fault it. Also the bike pack & return service was great – bike got back quickly & had been very well packed.

Hats off to both Steve & Nick for unfailing patience, good humour, hard work & stamina in coping with everything we & fate could throw at you and still come up smiling.

Lands End to John O'Groats July 2011

Highly recommended – would definitely recommend to anyone else thinking about doing this challenge as well as any other challenges. The best organised tour I have been on by a mile!

Lands End to John O'Groats April 2011

Just had a great time. I think the relaxed way it runs suited me perfectly. If I felt like trying to beat Steve to the destination, that was fine. Other days take it easy and ride at the back, again fine. I saw one group in Keswick who were all dressed in the same firms jackets and were in a very orderly single file, that would have got right up my nose!

Lands End to John O'Groats April 2011

Steve's gormet spreads were great. Good variety & quality of food & nice option to have hot drinks, top effort!

The tour was really well run. I would happily recommend to others. A great way to see the UK!.

Lands End to John O'Groats April 2011

I really enjoyed the route - it was a bit of everything & we managed to stay off busy roads which was great.

The lunches & snack stops were sensational - I was amazed & really pleased at the variety of options and it meant that no matter what you felt like there was always something good to eat.

The tour organisation was brilliant. I was really impressed & really enjoyed it - would have happily cycled back to Lands End!

Lands End to John O'Groats April 2011

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you very much for the great organisation that obviously went into the Lejog tour we have just finished. There was almost nothing that could have been better from the moment we arrived in St Just (I can’t believe that was only 2 weeks ago).

The accommodation was good (and The Crask Inn was just fantastic) the lunches were brilliant, the route was excellent, as were the Route Notes (whenever I felt the need to read them) and the support we received from you and Nick was just superb (especially the support you gave to me after my fall).

If I ever do anything like this again, it will definitely Peak Tours that I turn to first, and I’ll continue to recommend you to anyone who asks.

Thanks again and all the best for now.

Lands End to John O'Groats April 2011

The route was fantastic and I was really pleased we stayed far enough West to do the Lake District which I thought was a real highlight of the trip. Too many good days to mention but the last day ride as far as Bettyhill was particularly fantastic and I loved the trip up the Welsh border and the long, long downhill to Taunton racecourse was brilliant!

Bags were always available and in the right place, lunch was always where it was expected to be, evening meals were booked – spot on. Left us with nothing to think about other than getting up and riding, which is exactly what we wanted.

It was absolutely brilliant. Couldn’t have hoped for a better two weeks. Only problem is it has given me a taste for it and I am already wondering how I will find enough holidays next year to do it again!!!

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2010

Had a fantastic time and wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend to others. A big thank you to both!

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2010

I loved the route and thought it was very well planned – taking us quickly through built up areas and along mainly quiet cycle-friendly roads. Some of the route was not particularly suitable for a road bike but generally there was an alternative route so that was good.

Really helpful, friendly, warm hearted team.

Best holiday for a very long time!

Lands End to John O'Groats September 2010

We felt the organisation was overwhelmingly accommodating and friendly and had a great impression that nothing was too much trouble.

Rivers & Ridges June 2014

I enjoyed the cycle routes & quiet country lanes, so much so that returning to London afterwards and commuting to work was a huge shock to the system!

It was appropriately challenging and I thought the route avoided the major roads as much as practicable.

I strongly recommend the tour to anyone, well organised, all eventualities covered. Really enjoyed it.

All in all a great and memorable weekend. Thanks again and either as a group or as individuals/families we will be in touch again regarding walking /cycling holidays in this beautiful area.

A real experience, tough but worth every penny. This is the second tour I have done with Peak Tours and will not be the last

Dover to Cape Wrath August 2013

Brillant organisation. It all seemed to work well, with no fuss and no glitches – organised but not militarily so, even when ensuring we were in time for the ferries.

Lee and Phil were both fantastic. They managed to be organised and informative, fun to be with, helpful and sensitive to difficulties and both clearly loved being out on bikes and exploring the country. Really enjoyed their company and admire their skills in running

Way of the Roses September 2014

Beyond excellent, I couldn't be happier.

Way of the Roses September 2014

Excellent says it all and we would do another tour with you again.

Way of the Roses July 2014

The route was challenging in parts, interesting, largely traffic free and in most parts the surface was good.

All meals were excellent - there was a good choice and whatever was served was always good.

Enjoyed every minute - the best few days I've had in a long while.

Way of the Roses July 2014

Plenty of variety between hills and flat sections. Excellent tour

Way of the Roses

Completing 170 miles over 4 days was just right, allowing us plenty of time to look around the villages and towns in the evening before dinner.

Phil and Tom were fabulous - always there when they were needed.

Way of the Roses July 2014

Yet another excellent tour with a great group and great organisation, made all the more pleasant thanks to Phil and Tom's efforts.

Way of the Roses July 2014

Congratulations to all the group for completing the route and many thanks to you for organising the whole trip. Graham and Phil were very helpful throughout with the tea stops a highlight of the day (I think Graham slightly edged the table layout).

This was my first cycling trip which I enjoyed so much that I will be looking forward to hearing about the new tours for next year.

Way of the Roses September 2013

The tour was so well organised, I couldn't find any critisism. Thank you for a great tour.

Way of the Rose September 2013

What a great 4 days a great tour and company. Your staff Phil and Graham are indispensable and a great asset to your company. This tour was well organised and a great personal achievement for myself, it also gave me 4 days with my son Elliott priceless father and son time , so once again thanks to everybody concerned and to top it off we raised over £2000 for charity.

Way of the Roses September 2013

thanks for organising and managing a great trip.

It was my first time on such a trip and I thoroughly enjoyed it...it was a great group of people and I think we all got on well,Phil and Graham did a great job and the planning was impressive....many thanks

Way of the Roses September 2013

Graham & Phil were an inspiration. Nothing was too much trouble and they were always cheerful.

The tour was perfect, even with the slight headwind we experienced.

Way of the Roses September 2013

Thank you for another excellent tour. It was so good of you to pop up to see us all, I know how busy you are.

Way of the Roses May 2013

Many thanks for a brilliant job, once again, and it was good to see you on Thursday for dinner. Please pass on my regards to Graham and James for their professionalism with a sense of fun.

Will definitely ride with Peak tours again, perhaps in Europe next year!!!

Way of the Roses May 2013

Thanks for a wonderful trip. We were impressed by the way the trip was organised.

The things we especially appreciated were:

How well we were looked after by James and Graham (especially James given it was his first trip)

The route directions

The brew stops – the dried fruit and the fruit tea were lovely touches and it was clear that you’d thought more about what people may want than providing snacks to a cost.

The B&Bs in Settle and Morecambe in particular

Way of the Roses May 2013

The scenery was beautiful, and very quiet routes which were well signposted.

The breakfasts at our accommodation were all great, with the option of full English breakfast every day if we wanted. There was a good choice each day for lunch, and always chocolate biscuits in the van along the way – something to keep me going up the hills!

The tour organisation was superb (again. I really felt like all I had to do was turn up with my bike and not worry about anything else for the whole time.

Way of the Roses October 2012

The route was beautiful. The scenic time of year and fabulous weather undoubtedly contributed, but that aside the route was well-planned and avoided major roads.

The van snacks were always welcome and were varied and well-thought through and it was a real treat to discover that lunches were included (maybe if I had read the pre-trip information I would have known this).

Steve & Graham were amiable, efficient and well organised, you really enhanced the trip.

The tour was excellent. Not a mark I would normally give lightly but well deserved in this instance.

Way of the Roses October 2012

The breakfasts were excellent.
Having a free choice at lunch was more than expected and the venues were very good.
The selection in the van was again above my expectation.
The tour was great - I really enjoyed it and will recommend Peak Tours to friends.

Way of the Roses October 2012

Breakfasts were all very good. Lunch breaks were good too. The tea breaks and pork pies were all very welcome.

Really happy with the organisation. There was really no detail we had to worry about

Way of the Roses October 2012

We felt and friendly and had a great impression that nothing was too much trouble.

LEJOG September 2010

LEJOG June 2014
