The accommodation was incredible! All of our B&B hosts were very friendly and helpful. I cannot express how wonderful it was to arrive and find our luggage in our room, fresh towels, tea, coffee and snacks. The breakfasts were excellent too! We were really lucky with this group to have a range of ages, gender and abilities on our trip. It made for lots of fun. I think that the size of the group was terrific, especially when we all rode our last 8 miles to JOG’s. That we did the final ride together was a really nice touch, thanks for thinking of it. Also having Rob lead us to keep the pace nice and steady, like a celebratory parade marshall! The booking arrangements in the B&B’s went a long way in terms of encouraging us to interact with more people rather than form cliques. I really enjoyed and appreciated that touch. The staff were really generous with their time ‘after hours’ if there is such a thing – I had wonderful, inspiring conversations with Sam, Niv, Jim and Rob thanks to them for hanging out with us over dinner. It is clear to me that Peak Tours really is passionate about what you do and that you treat your staff and clients so well. This was emphasized when I cycled past skedaddle last days morning brew stop that was parked next to a cemetery and in a very smelly mature patch. Peaks brew van was set up at the top of a hill where we enjoyed another wonderful view, fresh air and refreshment. I got so much more out of this trip than anticipated. I wanted a lifestyle change (the training leading up to the trip achieved that), but the trip itself, the ability to do a multi-day effort and maintaining a positive outlook when my performance was not at its peak all the time was a wonderful opportunity that I would not have had time to focus on if I were paying attention to the behind the scenes details. The views, the places we stayed, the route that took us through urban and rural spaces, the misty moors over Dartmoor, were incredible.
