Coronavirus - travel update
After just completing the Way of The Roses (August 2020) I cannot praise Peak Tours enough. They brilliantly got the tour running after the COVID 19 crisis and nothing was too much trouble. A great route along with good fellow riders and Phil (our guide) running around to keep us all happy made this my best Peak Tours ride yet - even the stormy weather did not dampen the mood. I can honestly say I wouldn’t use another tour company for guided bike rides, we have already booked onto Ireland next year and also eyeing up LEJOG in 2022. Keep up the great work Peak Tours!

I have used Peak Tours on three occasions in the last five years: Channel to Med, Moselle to Mozart and Mizen to Malin. I have also used the services of three other cycle tour operators during the past decade. I have no doubt that Peak Tours offer the very best value and quality of service. Their routes are a pleasure to ride, their guides are knowledgable, thoughtful and attentive, and, importantly, good company to ride with. The overall Peak Tours package, including the service before and after a trip, beats the others hands-down. I cannot recommend them too highly.

Fabulous team of Emma, Tony and Mike - all with complimentary skills to get the job done in a calm, efficient and friendly manner giving excellent customer service and leaving every one of us feeling special and looked after. The route had plenty of variety and lots of interest along the way. It also felt very safe most of the time. The notes were really helpful in alerting us to difficult bits of the ride or stretches of fast or heavy traffic. I also appreciated the advanced warning of particular areas or sites of interest. The group size was just right- a great group of cyclists, lots of camaraderie and real fun to ride with. My second tour but my first hard challenge. It was an amazing holiday and I look forward to my next adventure with Peak Tours.

It was my first commercially organised multi-day tour and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it.
Given that the group only had one thing in common it bonded exceptionally well as demonstrated by the desire to eat together whether planned or not. I think credit for creating the comfort bubble needs to go to the guide team who worked tirelessly, endlessly and with great cheer for the whole trip. Thanks Emma, Tony and Mike.
My recommendation is to keep on doing that, let the cyclists take care of the cycling, and continue to benefit from repeat business.

A spectacular ride that rewarded cycling effort with some stunning vistas. At times every corner brought a new photo opportunity. The organisation was excellent and enabled me to concentrate on just chilling and riding. The roads were mainly car and pot hole free and as smooth as a billiard table. It was a delight to see rural France away from the big cities and immerse yourself into true French culture.

From the first email of what we could expect through the route notes, GPX files, accommodation list to the very comprehensive logistics sheet. All three tour leaders were unselfish in the attention and ability to make sure all riders in the groups had a happy tour.

Found the first couple of days a bit of a slog at times, but every day was better than the day before. Although I rode full distances every day the option of shorter routes was a good idea . Everyone did a great job on the pre-tour communication/ joining information. Our tour guides worked really hard, to ensure whole group got maximum enjoyment.

We used the turn by turn notes, backed up by Garmin and Wahoo - belt and braces approach to navigation. Enjoyed the larger group. We naturally had our own group of six that cycled together at a similar pace, and joined in with others at other times. Tony, Steve and Sam ( our guides) were great, nothing was too much trouble, all we had to do was ride, eat and sleep. Just need to decide which tour next…

Beautiful scenic routes especially the latter half of the week. Picnic lunches were fabulous and lovely venues were much appreciated. The group size gave you the opportunity to cycle with lots of different people throughout the week. First time with Peak Tours so was a little unsure what to expect. Trip was a fantastic experience and was just the right level for us.

We cycled along some beautiful glens and passes and enjoyed a good variety of landscape. Good to be off main roads in spite of rough surface at time. Great route. loved having hot soup for lunch and of course the lovely brew van. I prefer smaller groups but this worked well and made for an interesting tour as people mixed so well. It never felt too big.people tended to spread out on the roads too so there wasn't often any mass bunching.

You don't go hungry on a Peak Tours trip! Large group but different abilities meant several subgroups that tended to ride together. Very comprehensive information for the pre-tour information. All tour leaders were great. Very attentive, patient and professional. First big supported tour and would highly recommend it.

The group size was just right. I wanted to do as a solo rider rather than with personal friends and intermingle along the way. It was perfect for me as I rode a high percentage on my own yet throughout each day I spent time with pretty much everyone over the 14 days.
