To get a 1000 mile route through the UK

To get a 1000 mile route through the UK with achievable distances each day is a feat in itself! I thought it was a very good route with different types of challenges each day. Some stunning scenery on the way (despite the rain and headwinds!) Never knew there were so many different types of tarmac… or sheep…

About 25 in the group – great group of people and quickly meant the ‘hares’ got to know the tortoises more! Size about right – meant there was a chance to recognise others early on and therefore watch out for and support one another en route. Also, not to large a group from a logistics point of view.

Everything appeared to run as planned and nothing seemed too much trouble for Dave, Hamish and Mark – very calm and supportive. Any problems that may have arisen en route were dealt with well. Breaking each day down into brew and lunch stops helped a great deal, especially on some of the harder days. And having the luggage in the room on arrival was great!

The group also helped with the organisation by supporting the guides too with the daily logistics and from what I could see not causing any major problems.

Very calm, well organised team that appeared to work well together. Very supportive and encouraging  and fun to be with.

I had not ridden such distances each day for over 30 years and it was a huge personal challenge, but the support from your team, the group and also from family and friends got me through it. Tough at times, but it is advertised as a challenge! But also loads of fun too and really enjoyed it. So chuffed I made it.
