All the accommodation was of a very high standard run by pleasant people who were welcoming and helpful. At the end of a very wet day on the bike it was really nice to know there would be a hot shower, comfortable bed and good food. Those owners who were willing to wash cycling kit were particularly useful and perhaps it would be possible to stress this point to the owners of the B&B’s
Lee, Neil and Rod were very well organised and everything happened where and when they said it would. The brew van stops and organised lunch stops were most welcome and contrasted strongly with my previous LEJOG where you were basically left to fend for yourself all day. Although i didn’t suffer mechanical problems or health/injury issues, it was good to know that back-up was available if needed.
