Back home again following a fabulous 4 days on the Glacial Gorges walk. Yes, it was very hot at times, but with the varied terrane there was often a cooling breeze when up high, trees and water when down in the valleys, so it was not a problem. Villages at points when the water bottles needed filling.
All the accommodation was very comfortable and welcoming with breakfast that set us up for the day.
It was very reassuring to meet Stan on the Sunday morning, so we could set off knowing our bags would be at the B&B that night for us.
We were blown away by the scenery, we both live in stunning parts of the UK – N.Ireland & Shropshire so we are quite spoilt. The Peaks did not disappoint, the walk showed us so much variety up hill & down dale!
Beautiful villages and we appreciated all the historical and local information provided. It was exciting to recognise the picture on the front of the walk booklet when we got there and then to walk in that gorge.
