All the hotels were either of an excellent standard or rather interesting. Where else can you stay in a converted monastery with it’s own attached chapel. Wonderful stuff, no complaints at all.
Very few busy roads, excellent views and scenery, interesting little villages. Again, absolutely wonderful. Distances were nicely achievable each day, but with a great sense of achievement.
As a vegetarian I did have some worries about finding enough to eat, but there was always plenty for me on the trip and Isabelle was wonderful when we had pre-booked meals, she always phoned ahead to make sure there was something on the menu for me. She is a real asset to the company and especially to this trip.
Wonderful team leaders, Nigel is so enthusiastic and is magnificently supported by Isobel and Sam. They worked well as a team but Nigel in particular is ideal. The hotels were good, the vans were where they were supposed to be when they were supposed to be. All bags arrived, can’t fault it.
